'Dr. Cabbie', Salman Khan's first international offering that has Vinay Virmani (Breakway, David) in the lead has opened to good reviews on its Canadian release, what with current IMDB rating as 8/10. While the film would be seeing phased release internationally, a good response amongst audience in the country where it belongs to, Canada, is a heartening sign indeed for Salman and Vinay who have come together for an outing that picks up a socially relevant subject (migration of well educated Indians to Canada and the hardships they suffer) while presenting it in an out and out entertaining manner.http://i.indiaglitz.com/hindi/news/drcabbie290814_1c.jpg

This is what the prominent critics have to say about the film.
"Dr. Cabbie has an appealing protagonist, some snappy dialogue and fun characters. The film also manages to be lighthearted, amusing and occasionally heartwarming... provides a pleasingly comical cinematic ride." - The Star "Canadian-born (Vinay) Virmani is convincing as a young immigrant physician, conveying the vulnerability and innocence of India’s Shahrukh Khan in his younger days. Dr. Cabbie likely has all the ingredients in place to attract an international audience." - Straight"Dr. Cabbie was a funny and loving comedy, it also touches on social issues and life challenges that relate to many Canadian immigrants. The movie definitely is not a typical Bollywood style film - but rather a modern comedy that offers a subtle Bollywood twist." - Binzento

"Virmani, who also penned the story, uses humour to uplift the audiences. The movie crafts a new breed of cinema that caters to a multicultural universal audience, definitely one to watch!" - Anokhimedia "Dr. Cabbie is lovingly shot by director Jean-Francois Pouliot (Le Grande Seduction), both in Toronto and in India" - Toronto Sun

"Dr Cabbie is a decent attempt to portray the struggle both internal and external, qualified immigrants face when they first step foot on Canadian soil. Vinay has grown as an actor from his first movie Breakaway and brings his character to life with his signature charm and good looks. Isabelle Kaif sister of Bollywood diva Katrina Kaif has a pleasant personality." - Suhaag
"Despite the many winks and nods towards Indian culture, Dr. Cabbie is the type of film that can be enjoyed by people of all ethnicities. The film is completely harmless." - Toronto Film Scene
"Dr. Cabbie is a rocking, raunchy comedy that will tickle your funny bone and pull at your heart strings. For the new generation of all ethnicities, this film hits the right notes for a broad comedy that pushes the envelope." - The Link Paper "The movie is well made and is in most parts non-offensive. The movie is filled with Bollywood stereotypes including the tongue in cheek humour and the obligatory dance sequence." - Vancouver Desi "Lots of funny stereotyping - dialogue and behaviour that is pure mockery, with great cast that delivers over-the-top fun with some serious consequences. Brilliantly directed by Jean-François Pouliot." - SmrCulturePlus
The movie created quite a stir in south India for its intelligence and fair quotient of thrills. The telugu remake was yet another blockbuster and the Tamil remake is about to start very soon. Speaking to the media the Director of the movie Jeethu Joseph has said that as of now the only confirmation on the cast front is Kamal Hassan in the lead roles.

The makers are eyeing to rope in Asha Sarath who played the IG in the Malayalam original; there will be a confirmation very soon. Earlier there were also talks on Sridevi playing the role of the IG, however no official word came out.

Jeya Mohan has penned the dialogue for this movie and composer Ghibran will be carving the music. This forms third collaboration of Kamal – Ghibran with Uthama Villain and Vishwaroopam2 on the cards already.
After playing a rather strict father in Dhanush’s VIP, Samuthrakani will be seen in yet another powerful role for Siva Karthikeyan’s next. Ponram will be directing this movie which is tentatively titled as “Rajini Murugan” and the makers have confirmed the inclusion of two biggies “Samuthrakani” and “Rajkiran” in prominent roles.

This movie will be on the lines of ‘Varuthapadatha Valibar sangam’ will be entirely shot across the Jasmine city of Madurai. The work for this movie will kick start by August and most of the technicalities have been sorted out with Imman joining the team yet again.
The talk is that Samuthrakani will be the antagonist of this movie and will not be the usual stereotyped villain that we see, yet in a varied role. Looks like the actor’s performance in ‘VIP’ has hit off well.
Speaking at the event, Lingusamy said, the film that is slated to release as a grand Independence Day treat on August 15, will go in for Censor Certification today (July 30). If all things move as planned we will get to know the Censor Certificate obtained by the film within today.

‘Anjaan’ has been produced by Lingusami’s Thirrupathi Brother in association with UTV. Music score has been done by Yuvan Shankar Raja whose songs that released last week have become a rage among Suriya fans. The film stars Suriya in dual roles, while Samantha is pairing up with the versatile actor for the first time. VIdyut Jamwal, Soori, Manoj Bajpai and many other North Indian actors form part of the cast.

Get ready for the ‘Anjaan’ Bang Bang on August 15.
Anjaan is just right about the corner, the Independence day will see Suriya and Lingusamy come together for a stylish gangster movie and sharing the spotlight will be handsome hunk Vidyut Jamwal as the actor has a meaty role in this movie. The actor said that he has immense confidence that this movie will go on to break some records as the movie has shaped out quite well.

He further mentioned that director Lingusamy is master of what he is doing and knows exactly the strength of this stars and what makes a good commercial movie. Knowing Lingusamy for his movies with ample commercial content, Anjaan will be no less. Having acted in a number of Tamil movies now, the actor has said that he is picking up the language even though its quite challenging.
Anjaan has Suriya, Manoj, Vidyut, Samantha in the cast, with Yuvan composing the music.
She made her entry into movies through Hindi movies, however made South her as her home after her movies racked the Box Office across Telugu and Tamil. Now the actress has been roped in by ace film maker Sudhir Mishra for his next “Aur Devdas”

She was last seen in Singham alongside Ajay Devgan and Special 26 which had Akshay Kumar. Chitrangda Singh was the original choice for the leading lady, however the makers felt Kajal might suit this role quite perfectly and the narration seem to have impressed the actress as well. The actress also will be a part of the remake of super hit Iranian 2006 “Cease Fire”, which will have Sharmon Joshi in the lead and directed by Ajoy Varma.
Actor Jayam Ravi is acting in multiple projects simultaneously. One among them is ‘Thani Oruvan’ which sees his teaming up with brother director Jayam Raja after a gap of four years.

The film’s interesting casting coup has Nayanthara as the female lead who pairs up with Ravi for the first  time despite both of them being in the industry for more than ten years now. Ganesh Venkatraman acts in an important supporting role and the three are said to be featuring as close friends in the flick.

As speculated earlier, Aravind Swamy has been roped in to play an important role in the film. The actor who made a note worth comeback with the Mani Ratnam directed ‘Kadal’, last year has confirmed that he will start acting in ‘Thani Oruvan’ from today. Though the actor has not revealed anything about the role he would play the AGS Production venture, reliable sources close to the unit reveal that the man who was one of the most handsome heroes, Tamil Cinema  has ever seen, will be acting as the lead villain in the flick touted as a romantic entertainer.
Devi Sri Prasad takes care of music while Ramji is cranking the Camera. Veteran Editor V.T.Vijayan has been roped in for the film that is progressing at a brisk pace.
During a recent audio launch function, veteran director Bharathiraja spilled the beans on his future plans of directing three movies in the next two years. And looks like the work is already in full flow with news on his next movie “ Netraiku Mazhai Payum” floating around K-town

The movie will feature Cheran in the lead role with the hunt for female lead as its prime task. Director Agathiyan has penned the story for this movie which will start its shooting schedule by mid-august. A few prominent names Oviya, Manisha are being discussed for the leading ladies and an official word should be soon out. Bharathiraja’s last directional venture was ‘Annakodi’ which had Lakshmi Narayanan, Karthika Nair in the lead cast.
Actor Dhanush’s 25th film which is also his Production venture is having a successful run at a Box office and the film’s tremendous success is evident in its holding on to maximum number of even at the third week after the release. Now the Velraj directed film has courted controversy for a particular dialogue uttered by Dhanush in the film.

As per the story Dhanush will remain unemployed while his younger brother works at an IT company for a posh salary. When the parents chide Dhanush comparing him with his brother, Dhanush would retort saying that he was made to study in Ramakrishna Mission School while his brother could avail education in a high class school. Dhanush’s character would further say that he could not communicate in English since he studied in the Mission school.

This particular dialogue has irked the teachers and students of the RKM schools functioning across the state of Tamilnadu and they have condemned the dialogue that demeans their institution and have also demanded for the removal of the particular dialogue.
In a Press statement released on behalf of the institution it has been mentioned that “Ramakrishna Mission has been indulging in the great service of education poor and underprivileged children across the country. The mission has 150 schools at various locations of India including the one in Arunachal Pradesh bordering China. The dialogue uttered by Dhanush in the film not only demeans the contributions of the institution to the society but also harmful since it would create a bad name for the institution among the youngsters and the general public. We condemn the film’s director and the producer cum lead actor Dhanush for charging  the institution functions under the name of Sri Ramakrishna, Mother Sharada Devi and Swami Vivekanandna without any basis.
The release also sated the dialogue should be removed and Dhanush and Velraj should tender a public apology failing which legal action and protests would be spearheaded against them.

Playing the baddie and getting loved by female fans? Vidyut Jammwal is the one guy who could pull off that with ease after playing the villain in ‘Billa2’, ‘Thuppakki’ and now with an important role in ‘Anjaan’. At a recent media interaction, the handsome lad said that he is a big fan of MGR and now after ‘Billa2’ he showers praise on Ajith as well.

Through the shoots of Billa2, Vidyut has observed Ajith on close quarters and Vidyut is in awe at the perfectionist in Ajith. He further said that even though Ajith has a strong fan base and own of the most sought actor in K-wood, he is very simple on the sets. On the sets of ‘Mankatha’ Thala cooked Biryani for the whole set and from what we hear from Vidyut, he was kind enough to cook pasta for the entire set of ‘Billa2’.
The Hyderabad schedule of KS Ravikumar's 'Lingaa' is coming to an end and with this, the Superstar is leaving the city, packing off back to Chennai. Today is the last day of shoot at Hyderabad for the 'Lingaa' team and the crew will roll their camera near Radisson Hotel in the city, with Anushka in the frame. After wrapping up all shooting in Hyderabad, the team will take a casual break for two days and almost immediately start work in Chennai.

One of the interesting aspects of the film is that it portrays Rajini in two roles, one of which is a thief. Written by Pon Kumaran and directed by KS Ravikumar, 'Lingaa' stars Rajinikanth, Anushka Shetty and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead roles and has music by AR Rahman.
Flights across eastern China thrown into chaos as China's People's Liberation Army shows off its strength

An unprecedented series of military drills by the People's Liberation Army, designed to show off the strength and professionalism its army, navy and air force, have caused chaos across eastern China's airspace.
The drills, which began in May and which will continue until mid-August, have thrown domestic and international flights into chaos. On Tuesday, planes were unable to land at eight airports and Shanghai saw the capacity of both its airports reduced by three-quarters.

Last weekend, more than 800 flights were delayed or cancelled in Shanghai and Beijing by live-fire drills.
Military insiders said this year's exercises are the largest ever and are intended to simulate how the PLA would respond to an attack on China by a foreign enemy.

Part of the drills involved a simulated electromagnetic attack designed to knock out communications and radar systems. The PLA Daily, the official army newspaper, noted there had been "heavy airstrikes", as well as "electronic disturbance teams" and even "chemical weapons drills".
Under such circumstances, the narrow corridor of civilian airspace on China's busy east coast was heavily restricted.
"The naval drill beginning this week involves the East fleet, the North fleet and the South fleet, which is unprecedented for the navy," said Colonel Chen Hong, a former professor at the PLA Air Force College.
"Every airborne unit and ground missile unit has been deployed in the PLA Air Force, which is also a first," he added.
In addition, all seven of China's military regions have sent soldiers to Beijing to take part for the first time in a set of drills designed to test soldiers against an elite force modelled on the US army.
The attacking "Blue" army, made up of two tank battalions, four mechanised infantry battalions and three artillery battalions, was played by the 195th mobile infantry brigade of the 65th group army based in Beijing.
Its soldiers wear light blue camouflage, with a wolf insignia, and are trained and equipped like US soldiers, to the extent that their canteen serves food with knives and forks rather than chopsticks.
In the past, the war games that have pitted the PLA against the Blue army have been heavily scripted. This year, however, it was decided to practice for real.
"Neither side knew anything about the battle beforehand," said Col Chen. "It is better to for the PLA to learn hard lessons in these drills than to spill blood in a real war," he added.
Embarrassingly, the Blue army went on to win six out of its seven battles, defeating every military region except for Shenyang.
Nevertheless, the display of the PLA's professionalism, coupled with its growing firepower, was designed to send a strong message to China's Asian neighbours, including Japan, and to the United States.
"All these deployments are unprecedented compared to previous drills. The exercises show that our nation has the ability to defend ourselves against any invasion. They are a deterrent to countries around us," said Col Chen.
"The fate of the nation has never been so closely linked to the strength and weakness of the army, and the victories and defeats on the battlefield as it is today," added the PLA Daily, the official army newspaper.
A broken water main near the UCLA campus sent a geyser of water some 30 feet into the air, forcing the rescue of people trapped in underground parking garages and covering some of the best-known parts of campus in water.
The pipe that broke under nearby Sunset Boulevard made a raging river of the street and sent millions of gallons of water across the school's athletic facilities, including the famed floor of Pauley Pavilion, the neighboring Wooden Center and the Los Angeles Tennis Center, and a pair of parking structures that took the brunt of the damage.
The arena - where Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Bill Walton, Reggie Miller and Kevin Love starred and John Wooden coached for 10 years - recently underwent a $132 million renovation that was completed in October 2012.
As medical services across Europe are on high alert to prevent any risk of Ebola spreading here, a hospital in Germany accepts a patient with the virus

With medical services across Europe on high alert to prevent any risk of the Ebola virus spreading here, a hospital in Germany has agreed to accept an infected patient for treatment.
More than 670 people have died so far in West Africa, as doctors struggle to contain the deadliest outbreak of the virus in history.
The country of Liberia has closed most of its borders to prevent the spread of the disease.
But, amid speculation their patient may be one of the world’s leading Ebola experts, doctors in Germany insist there is no risk of the infection spreading from him.
The British families of the Flight MH17 crash victims have pleaded with David Cameron for help in bringing the bodies of “all our boys and girls home” as the European Union imposed the toughest sanctions on Russia since the Cold War.
In a meeting in Downing Street, the father of one victim said he was “angry and frustrated” that his son’s body has not been repatriated 12 days after his death.
The EU imposed sanctions including the targeting of state-owned banks, an arms embargo and restrictions on the sale of sensitive technology. Mr Cameron warned of further sanctions unless Vladimir Putin, the Russian president, stopped his “unacceptable behaviour”. The US is expected to announce its own new sanctions.

But there was disquiet as it emerged that the City of London will suffer while German manufacturers and a £1 billion French contract to supply warships to Russia are protected.
Mr Cameron said the measures would “make it absolutely clear” that Mr Putin’s continued support for Russian separatists in Ukraine is “unacceptable”. For a third day, Dutch and Australian forensic specialists were unable to reach the crash site because of continued fighting.
Mr Cameron met the families of seven of the 10 British victims of Flight MH17 and “expressed his condolences and those of the whole country”, a spokesman said.
Barry and Angela Sweeney were still waiting to learn whether the body of their son Liam, 28, has been recovered.

Mr Sweeney, 52, of Killingworth, North Tyneside, said: “It would be nice if they could just stop fighting for a little bit so that we could get all our boys and girls home. I’ve got to say Mr Cameron was very humble. He answered every question that was asked of him, he brought a few experts in to talk about the crash sites and how the airplane might have come down. We basically asked Mr Cameron for help.”
Downing St said that 15 British police officers are working with the Dutch to identify and repatriate the bodies.
A spokesman said: “He made clear that the Government was determined to do all it can to support them over the coming difficult months.”
Under the new sanctions, the City and other markets will be banned from selling bonds and equities owned by state-owned Russian banks. The EU will target eight new individuals with asset freezes and travel bans, including four “cronies close to Vladimir Putin’s inner circle”.
But it exempted a £1 billion French contract to supply two warships to Russia from an arms embargo. It also exempted the gas sector from any embargo on exporting technology, protecting German manufacturing

President Barack Obama announced that US was imposing its own sanctions on the Russian energy sector and on defence and finance firms.
"If Russia continues on its current path the cost on Russia will continue to grow. Today is a reminder that the United States means what it says," Mr Obama said at the White House.
He praised Europe for "stepping up the way they have today" after initial reluctance to impose strong sanctions, saying it was a sign of the "waning patience Europe has with nice words from President Putin that are not matched by actions".
However, he denied that the US and Russia were locked in "a new Cold War" and talked down the prospect of America supplying the Ukrainian military with lethal support.
The sanctions prevent new loans to three Russian banks, freezes the assets of a ship-building firm and blocks sale of certain technologies to the Russian energy sector.
· The British Airline Pilots Association has called on the Government to ensure passenger safety after an industry meeting failed to produce advice on flying over war zones.

President Barack Obama escalated US economic sanctions against Russia on Tuesday for its aggression against Ukraine but dismissed suggestions the growing chill in US-Russian relations marked the start of a new Cold War.
The United States and the European Union, in a carefully coordinated action, announced targeted new sanctions against Russian banks, energy and defense firms. It was the West's most serious response yet to what it calls Russian instigation of and continuing support for the separatist uprising in the east and the shootdown of a Malaysian passenger jet on July 17 over eastern Ukraine.
Mr Obama, speaking at the White House, said the sanctions would have a "greater impact on the Russian economy than we've seen so far" in a drive to force Moscow to stop backing the separatists.
Until now, Europe had stopped short of tougher steps against Russia for fear of retaliation. Mr Obama said the new sanctions were a sign of "the waning patience Europe has with nice words from President [Vladimir] Putin that are not matched by actions."
Exclusive Migrant workers who built luxury offices used by Qatar's 2022 football World Cup organisers have told the Guardian they have not been paid for more than a year and are now working illegally from cockroach-infested lodgings.
Officials in Qatar's Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy have been using offices on the 38th and 39th floors of Doha's landmark al-Bidda skyscraper – known as the Tower of Football – which were fitted out by men from Nepal, Sri Lanka and India who say they have not been paid for up to 13 months' work.
The project, a Guardian investigation shows, was directly commissioned by the Qatar government and the workers' plight is set to raise fresh doubts over the autocratic emirate's commitment to labour rights as construction starts this year on five new stadiums for the World Cup.
The offices, which cost £2.5m to fit, feature expensive etched glass, handmade Italian furniture, and even a heated executive toilet, project sources said. Yet some of the workers have not been paid, despite complaining to the Qatari authorities months ago and being owed wages as modest as £6 a day.
By the end of this year, several hundred thousand extra migrant workers from some of the world's poorest countries are scheduled to have travelled to Qatar to build World Cup facilities and infrastructure. The acceleration in the building programme comes amid international concern over a rising death toll among migrant workers and the use of forced labour.
"We don't know how much they are spending on the World Cup, but we just need our salary," said one worker who had lost a year's pay on the project. "We were working, but not getting the salary. The government, the company: just provide the money."

The migrants are squeezed seven to a room, sleeping on thin, dirty mattresses on the floor and on bunk beds, in breach of Qatar's own labour standards. They live in constant fear of imprisonment because they have been left without paperwork after the contractor on the project, Lee Trading and Contracting, collapsed. They say they are now being exploited on wages as low as 50p an hour.
Their case was raised with Qatar's prime minister by Amnesty International last November, but the workers have said 13 of them remain stranded in Qatar. Despite having done nothing wrong, five have even been arrested and imprisoned by Qatari police because they did not have ID papers. Legal claims lodged against the former employer at the labour court in November have proved fruitless. They are so poor they can no longer afford the taxi to court to pursue their cases, they say.
A 35-year-old Nepalese worker and father of three who ssaid he too had lost a year's pay: "If I had money to buy a ticket, I would go home."
Qatar's World Cup organising committee confirmed that it had been granted use of temporary offices on the floors fitted out by the unpaid workers. It said it was "heavily dismayed to learn of the behaviour of Lee Trading with regard to the timely payment of its workers". The committee stressed it did not commission the firm. "We strongly disapprove and will continue to press for a speedy and fair conclusion to all cases," it said.
Jim Murphy, the shadow international development secretary, said the revelation added to the pressure on the World Cup organising committeeafter . "They work out of this building, but so far they can't even deliver justice for the men who toiled at their own HQ," he said.
Sharan Burrow, secretary general of the International Trade Union Confederation, said the workers' treatment was criminal. "It is an appalling abuse of fundamental rights, yet there is no concern from the Qatar government unless they are found out," she said. "In any other country you could prosecute this behaviour."

Contracts show the project was commissioned by Katara Projects, a Qatar government organisation under the auspices of the office of the then heir apparent, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, who is now the emir. He also heads the supreme committee, the World Cup organising body. The committee is spending at least £4bn building new stadiums for the tournament, which has become mired in allegations of bribery, while there is disbelief at the prospect of playing the tournament in Qatar's 50C summer heat.
Katara said it terminated its agreement with Lee Trading when it discovered the mistreatment of workers and non-payment of wages, and made efforts to repatriate those affected or find them new jobs. It said several workers had been compensated after court settlements. "If there are employees who were not repatriated, did not find employment or did not receive compensation, we would be happy to engage in any effort with the ministry of labour and ministry of interior to rectify the situation," a spokesman said.
The problems at the Tower of Football workers are not isolated, despite Qatar's pledges to monitor salary payments and abolish the kafala sponsorship system, which stops migrant workers changing job or leaving Qatar without their employer's consent. In 2012 and 2013, 70 labourers from India, Nepal and Sri Lanka died from falls or strikes by objects, 144 died in traffic accidents and 56 killed themselves, the government's own figures show. Dozens more young migrant workers die mysteriously in their sleep from suspected heart attacks every summer.
The Guardian discovered more projects where salaries had not been paid. They included a desert camp of 65 workers who had not been paid for several months, were sleeping eight to a room, and were living with dirty drinking water, filthy, unplumbed toilets and no showers.

If the US threatens North Korea's survival, the country will fire nuclear-armed rockets, says Hwang Pyong-So, director of the military's General Political Bureau,

A top-ranking North Korean military official has threatened a nuclear strike on the White House and Pentagon after accusing Washington of raising military tensions on the Korean peninsula.

The threat came from Hwang Pyong-So, director of the military's General Political Bureau, during a speech to a large military rally in Pyongyang Sunday on the anniversary of the armistice that ended the 1950-53 Korean War.

Hwang, who holds the rank of vice marshal in the Korean People's Army, said a recent series of South Korea-US military drills, one of which included the deployment of a nuclear-powered US aircraft carrier, had ramped up tensions.

"If the US imperialists threaten our sovereignty and survival... our troops will fire our nuclear-armed rockets at the White House and the Pentagon - the sources of all evil," Hwang said in his speech broadcast on Monday on state television.
It is not the first time North Korea's bellicose rhetoric has included threats of nuclear strikes on the continental United States and US bases in the Pacific.
But most experts believe it is still a long way from developing a viable intercontinental ballistic missile with the required range.

The North has conducted three nuclear tests, but is not thought to have mastered the miniaturisation techniques necessary for mounting a warhead on a missile.
It does possess a range of short-and mid-range missiles capable of striking South Korea and Japan, and has conducted a series of test firings into the Sea of Japan (East Sea) in recent weeks.
The latest test on Saturday - guided by the leader Kim Jong-Un - simulated a short-range missile strike on South Korea where 28,500 US troops are stationed, the North's state media said.
It defied censure by the UN Security Council which officially condemned Pyongyang on July 17 over the recent tests as violations of UN resolutions prohibiting the North from using ballistic missile technology.
Gaza endures five hours of thunderous bombardment by strike aircraft and artillery following the deaths of five Israeli soldiers

Gaza endured over five hours of thunderous bombardment by strike aircraft and artillery on Tuesday morning as Israel retaliated for the deaths of five soldiers.
From midnight until 5.30am, the western edge of Gaza City echoed to explosions. At first, the barrage was inflicted by heavy artillery, possibly including the guns of warships anchored off the coast. Later, attack helicopters and jet fighters were also overhead.

Unusually, the targets were concentrated along Gaza City’s Mediterranean coastline. At dawn, a pillar of black smoke rose above the harbour, showing where buildings had been set ablaze.

It was not clear whether this bombardment, which ranks among the heaviest since Israel launched its offensive on July 8, was intended as a precursor to an escalation of the ground invasion.
At present, Israeli troops and tanks control a buffer zone extending for two miles into Gaza along the territory’s northern and eastern borders. This area already accounts for 44 per cent of Gaza’s total surface area.

Israeli forces could choose to advance still further, striking into even more densely populated areas, although the risk of casualties, both to themselves and to Palestinian civilians, would immediately rise.

Israel released more evidence to suggest the deaths of eight children and two elderly men in Beach refugee camp on Monday was caused not by their forces, but by a misfiring rocket launched by Hamas, the radical Islamist movement.
The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) showed it had tracked the flightpath of four rockets launched on Monday afternoon.
One apparently hit the sea, another flew successfully towards the Israeli city of Ashkelon, a third struck an outbuilding of Shifa Hospital in Gaza City and the fourth exploded in Beach camp, said the IDF.
“Terrorists fired rockets hoping to kill Israelis,” said the IDF. “Instead they hit a hospital and a refugee camp in Gaza.”
Here’s comes an exciting movement for Indian cinema world... The forthcoming Kangana Ranaut and Irrfan Khan starrer ‘Divine Lovers’ has officially qualified as a French film following a green light from the French Film Commission. The commissioner, Franck Priot, has become a mentor for the film and for the director Sai Kabir himself. What this means for the film is that ‘Divine Lovers’ will receive a mainstream cinema release in France, a very rare occurrence. Both Irrfan and Kangana are also overwhelmed and excited by this special news.

Kangana who last shot in Paris for ‘Queen’, couldn't be more excited with the association given that she is also known and recognized in the Fashion capital as a style icon. She said, "Divine Lovers will receive a mainstream cinema release in France. It will be India's answer to edgy, love stories that world-cinema viewers enjoy". Whereas both Sai Kabir and Franck Priot are looking forward to this Indo French technical exchange, especially when the post production stage happens in France. The film will be every bit the great Indian Dream.
Said director Sai Kabir, "Franck Priot has truly been a mentor both to me and the film Divine Lovers. The French Film Commission has helped us build this into a Indo -French co production".
While Franck Priot stated, "It is exciting for us at the Film France to have young talents like Kabir Sai, from the new generation of Indian directors, willing to work with France and French talents in order to have their movies reaching out to wider audiences outside of India. And his impressive knowledge of French cinema for sure will help him to find common grounds and references with us. With its reality-grounded style, Divine Lovers has a potential appeal to European audiences, even if they don't know the Bollywood conventions".
