 Director Magizh Thirumeni who is one the verge of completing his third
film ‘Meagamann’ starring Arya and Hansika in lead roles has revealed
the meaning of his title. While in English both a team leader and the
chief of a ship are called as Captain in Tamil there are two different
terms. The Tamil term for the chief of a ship is called ‘Meagamann’ and
the word is still in use in many rural parts of Tamilnadu.
The
director revealed that Arya had to maintain the looks that would make
him appear convincing in the stunt sequences. For this the actor used to
travel to the shooting location in a cycle if the shooting happens in
Chennai. He even travelled upto ECR from his home in Anna Nagar just to
maintain is physique for the film. The director is indeed pleased by the
dedication of the actor.
‘Meagamann’ is being produced by Hitesh Jhabak under Nemichand Jhabak banner. The film has musical score by Thaman.
